A painting of the hay bales below the hilltop village of Montauroux in the Var department in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region of south eastern France. We were visiting my sister in August 2025. It was extremely hot during the day, so this painting was done from photos and sitting in the shade of her house in the afternoon and morning. I really like how the light hits the hay bales and lights up the terracotta roofs.
