We dragged the kids out for a walk on a very hot day in Montauroux, France, heading out the back of my sister’s garden through tall pine forests. We thought it was delightful. The kids moaned the whole way and thought the lookout was rubbish. They liked the melted chocolate biscuits and water when we got there. We lobbed pine cones at them on the way back.
